Through The Looking Glass
We are excited to announce the long-awaited, new addition to our Ice’d Family - The Looking Glass Pockets! This addition is the third series to join our Ice’d Family (along with the Fade Slopers and the Glazed Jugs), adding 70 more holds to this thorough and dynamic family of dual-tex holds. They fit, they function, and they flow - and we want to tell you all about why.
Every Ocelot family has its own unique aesthetic features; the Ice’d family consists of all dual-tex. As a part of that family, the Looking Glass Pockets share the same quality aesthetic and “vibe” as the other two series. However, when it comes to function, they operate much differently than the other two.
It doesn’t really need to be said, but I’ll say it anyway - pockets are used much differently than other grip types. Add some dual-texture to an already distinct hold type and - viola! - we have some of the most specific, nuanced shapes out there! Not only that, but the entire series also has an incredible amount of variation of positivity throughout, ranging from very slopey dishes to some positive 1, 2, 3, and 4 finger pockets. No matter what, this series almost certainly has the exact shape you are looking for, especially if you are setting for a comp or something similar.
In addition, we spent hours and hours on every detail of these shapes, making sure everything came out as smooth and clean as possible. The base of each hold, the distinct line between the two textures, the smooth and tapered transition into each screw/bolt hole - all of this was meticulously decided and executed. We didn’t want to release a series of holds that were just “good enough”, we wanted to make them as well as we possibly could, and we really like how they have turned out!

Furthermore, every hold from Ocelot is designed to be screw-on compatible, as well as bolt-on compatible (for all the series that apply), so you can always, easily adjust exactly where you want to place your hold which is great for home walls, competitions, piggy-backing, blocking, and jibbing volumes. No more need for your countersink bit or leaving behind little scraps of polyurethane shavings all over the place. We’ve done all the work for you already.
